From time to time SWI will request research providers to propose research on certain topics which the company, through its
Technical Committee, has identified.
SWI will provide a brief outline of the type of research sought, the desired outcomes and an indicative budget for the
research. SWI will then contact research providers to alert them to the opportunity to propose research and identify a
timeline for proposals to be submitted.
SWI has a two stage proposals process, designed to first get ideas and scope sorted out quickly and simply so as to avoid
unnecessary time and effort.
Stage 1: Completion of a preliminary proposal form. This can be done by hard copy application. It is designed to be simple
and straight-forward. Please download the form below, complete and email to keith.mackie@wqi.co.nz

Stage 2: Working with SWI technical leaders to develop a detailed Project Plan. SWI personnel will assess Stage 1 proposals
and contact those providers with whom they wish to work with to develop the Stage 2 Project Plans.
